The Hornet earned a big Orange Empire Conference win at home Wednesday sweeping through No. 21 in state Riverside City College in three straight sets.
Prior to the match, Riverside was the No. 3 team in the conference previously besting top OEC teams like Cypress and Saddleback. Both of those teams had beaten FC earlier this season.
Filled with an abundance of energy, the Hornets jumped all over the Tigers in the first set taking an 8-1 lead before finishing with a 25-7 win. The Tigers woke up for game two, but FC held strong winning 25-23. Game three was a back-and-forth dogfight that went into extras. Fullerton kept the momentum on their side edging out Riverisde 27-25 win to seal the match.
