After dropping the last two conference matches, the Hornets turned it around on Wednesday beating Saddleback College on the road 3-0 (25-23, 25-19, 25-17).
Prior to this game, Fullerton hit a bump in the road falling to three state-ranked teams in #6 Golden West, #3 Irvine Valley, #15 Cypress, which dropped the Hornets to #21 after a hot start to the season.
Wednesday's win gives FC the season series sweep over Saddleback as they beat the Gauchos 3-0 in their first encounter back on October 11th.
FC sophomore Shawnna Chung led the charge with 14 kills and 14 digs. Caroline Corp chipped in with 11 kills and 4 block assists. Alanna Hayhurst had 8 kills to go along with 12 digs. Kristen Santos contributed 19 assists and Tiffiany Cobian delivered 20 respectively.
Up Next: The Hornets (13-4 overall, 6-4 conference) will need to pick it up a notch when they host top-ranked Golden West College this Friday in the South Gym at 6:00 pm.
