The FC women’s basketball team played two road games on Thursday and Friday beating Cuesta 72-56 and Ventura 49-44.

The FC women's basketball team played two road games on Thursday and Friday beating Cuesta 72-56 and Ventura 49-44.
The victories brought Fullerton's record up to 3-3 on the season with the team ready to take on two more opponents this week.
In the first game on Thursday, the Hornets put together a complete performance powering past Cuesta College 72–56. The team shot an impressive 51.7% from the field and controlled the tempo from start to finish outscoring Cougars in every quarter except the fourth.
Jaylene Perez delivered her best outing of the season with a game-high 17 points with 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Hailey Lakey finished with 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists. Erin Choi scored 15 points while pulling down 6 rebounds, while Chloe Chang notched her first double-double as a Hornet with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Femi Nodal chipped in 10 points.
The Friday night game at Ventura was a battle through and through with the Hornets taking the game down the stretch 49-44. Down 42-41 at the start of the fourth quarter, FC leaned on a balanced offensive effort with key shots coming from Hailey Lakey and Erin Choi.
Lakey delivered another strong performance with a double-double night scoring 13 with 10 rebounds. Choi matched Lakey with 13 points and 4 rebounds, while Chloe Chang came through with 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. Femi Nodal dropped in 6 points and 3 rebounds hitting a pair of threes. Jaylene Perez contributed points and 7 rebounds.
Ventura held its largest lead of the night at 16, but Fullerton's resilience showed as the Hornets rallied in the second half outscoring the Pirates 22–13 in the fourth quarter to complete the comeback.
Up Next: The Hornets (3-3 overall) play another road game this Thursday, November 20th when they travel to Pasadena City College. Tipoff is at 6:00 pm. On Saturday (Nov. 22), FC brings it back home for another non-conference matchup with Citris College at 5:00 pm.
