The Hornets broke up a 5-game losing streak at home Wednesday beating the Brahmas of LA Pierce College 3-2.
It was a good comeback-win for Fullerton, which now sports an overall record of 4-5. FC opened the season with an undefeated 3-0 record and then stumbled through the next five contests, until finally fighting past the Brahmas, who now own an overall record of 3-6.
The Hornets dropped the first two sets 25-19 and 26-24 but managed to fight their way out of a jam by taking the next three sets 23-25, 20-25, and 10-15. In the third set, Jasper Nadelson helped FC squeeze past LA Pierce with a kill, and he did it again in the fourth set with a stunning block to tie it up at 2-2. It was Evan Shank's ace in the final set that sealed the match for Fullerton as the team displayed a lot of heart and spirit coming back from a 2-0 deficit.
