The Hornets played with passion today at home against a physical Saddleback team that squeaked by FC 1-0.
The Hornet's record now stands at 5-9-2 overall and 4-6-1 in the Orange Empire Conference, while Saddleback saw its record improve to 12-3-1 overall and 8-2-1 in the OEC.
The game went scoreless until the 85th minute when Gaucho sophomore Sabrina Garrido knocked in the game's only goal on a header that just sailed over FC sophomore goalie Mallory Van Voorhis.
GK Van Voorhis had 3 saves on the day in 90 minutes of play.
