2017 Hornet Women's Cross Country News
The 2018 Hornet Cross Country season ended with excellent performances at the CCCAA State Championship Meet.
Two Hornet sophomores in Cassidy Neyenhuis and Brian Grande competed at the Cross Country State Championships at Fresno's Woodward Park last Saturday and finsihed with their best times.
The Hornets ran in the Southern California Cross Country Regional Championships at Santa Clarita’s Central Park last Thursday with the ladies finishing 15th out of 27 teams at 455 points.
At the Orange Empire Conference Finals at Mission Viejo’s Oso Viejo Park, the FC ladies team placed 4th out of 6 teams (93 points), while the men’s team took 5th out of 6 teams (126 points). Both teams qualify for SoCal Regionals next week.
Running in the Brubaker Inviational at Irvine Regional Park last Friday, the Lady Hornets finished 3rd out of ten southern California teams with 118 points.
The Lady Hornets ran in their third competition of the season grabbing 10th out of 15 teams at the Golden West Invitational last Friday.
The FC women’s cross country team ran in the Southern California Preview at Santa Clarita’s Central Park on Friday. There were 210 runners and the ladies finished 13th out of 24 teams.
The Hornets represented well at the Palomar Invitational down in Oceanside last Friday with the women placing 3rd overall and the men taking 5th.
