Jenna Krostag delivered a standout performance finishing 4th in the 200 meters (26.02) and following it up with a 3rd-place finish in the 800 meters with a personal-best time of 2:24.19. Her performances reflected steady improvement and strong conditioning early in the year.
Ashrid Morales also made her mark placing 5th in the 400 meters (69.08) before capturing 1st place in the hurdles with a winning time of 1:15.81.
In the field events, Olivia Yturriaga impressed while competing in multiple events. She posted a 26'9" throw in the shot put (9th place), finished 6th in the discus (93'3"), placed 3rd in the javelin (89'1"), and added a 7th-place finish in the hammer throw (111'0")- a strong all-around showing, especially in her first time competing in the hammer and javelin.
The Hornets also gained valuable experience across the sprint events, using the meet as an important measuring stick heading into the heart of the season.
Up Next: The Hornets will take part in a five-way meet at El Camino College on Saturday, February 21st with field events beginning at 10 am and track events at 1:00 pm.
