W. TENNIS: EDGING THE CHARGERS

The Hornets took a trip across town to visit Cypress College on Tuesday and got past the Chargers 5-4.

In doubles, the FC team of Haena So and Ashley Castro won their match 8-4.

Wins were had in singles by Haena So (6-0, 6-2), Jeanelle Canal (6-3, 7-5), and Ashley Fabella (6-0, 6-3). Clinching the match for the Hornets, Ashley Castro took game one 6-4, then lost the second 2-6. She bounced back in the third game to win it all 6-2.

Up Next: FC (3-0 overall) will host Cypress this Thursday, April 29th for what will be another great match between the district rivals. Matches will begin at 2:00 pm. Sorry, but no spectators will be allowed due to COVID-19 restrictions.
