WOMEN'S TENNIS: HORNETS OVER VAQUEROS

The FC women's tennis team opened up the season on the road on Thursday beating Glendale College 5-4.

The Hornets got off to a good start in doubles-play, Alexus Lombera / Ashley Castro took their match 8-7. Janet Shiau / Savanna Schreiner-Vanhoutte won 8-7, and Jeanelle Canal / Ashley Yanez finished the sweep with an 8-0 win.

In singles Alexus Lombera knocked off her opponent 6-3, 6-2, and Ashley Castro clinched the team victory with a tight 2-6, 7-6, 6-1 win.

Up Next: Fullerton will host Porterville College on Saturday, February 1st at 10:00 am.
