2013 Women's Tennis Schedule News
The 2012-13 athletic year at Fullerton College was very successful as three teams collected state trophies, many athletes made All-American, and three teams were conference champions. Honoring the student-athletes for their exceptional seasons, FC President Dr. Rajen Vurdien and his staff held a luncheon at the Hornet Field House.
In addition to winning the State Team Championship this past week, the Hornet duo of Sarah Anderson and Victoria Vo also laid claim to the 2013 CCCAA State Doubles Title as well.
The Fullerton College women's tennis team edged Sierra College 5-4 winning the 20123 CCCAA State Title for the first time in school history on Wednesday.
The #4 women's tennis team Hornets brought down #3 Riverside City College 5-3 on Saturday advancing the Hornets to the State Finals!
#4 Fullerton kept their winning ways going on Tuesday by knocking off #1 El Camino College 5-0 on the road in the Semi-Finals of the Southern California Regionals.
At the Orange Empire Conference Championships over the weekend, Hornet Sarah Anderson swept through the competition becoming the 2013 Singles Champion.
The FC women's team hit the road on Thursday to take on Cypress College and beat the Chargers 8-1. The victory gives the Lady Hornets a share of the Orange Empire Conference title along with Riverside City College.
The FC women's tennis team hit the road against Saddleback College on Tuesday and netted a nice 6-3 Orange Empire Conference win.
After falling to Mt. San Antonio College last week, the Lady Hornets turned it on Tuesday beating Cuyamaca 9-0.
