The win lifts Fullerton's overall record to 4-10-1 with a 2-5-1 record in the Orange Empire Conference. The Santa Ana defeat keeps the team winless at 0-10-4 overall and 0-8-0 in the OEC.
Fullerton jumped in front early in the 12th minute when Pfefferkorn buried a setup from Yahari Mendoza to put the Hornets on the board.
The Dons responded in the 62nd minute on an unassisted strike by Samantha Hernandez, leveling the match at 1-1. FC immediately countered with an offensive surge led by Pfefferkorn, who took over the match from that point on.
Just five minutes later, Pfefferkorn regained the lead for Fullerton with the assist coming from Gicela De La Rosa in the 67th minute. Edie then completed her hat trick only four minutes later when she hit paydirt on an unassisted shot at 71:28 giving Fullerton a 3-1 lead.
Pfefferkorn knocked in her 4th goal in the 84th minute (assist by De La Rosa) capping one of the most dominant individual scoring performances in the program's history.
Hornet goalkeeper Kimmy Sperling played the full 90 minutes and made one save while allowing just the lone goal.
Up Next: The Hornets (4-10-1 overall, 2-5-1 OEC) will look to carry this momentum into their next conference matchup this Tuesday October 28th when they travel to Cypress College. Game time is at 3:00 pm.
