The Hornets picked up a gritty 1-0 victory at home against LA Harbor on Tuesday in a non-conference match that was played on the turf of Sherbeck Field.
After a scoreless opening half where both teams struggled to create quality chances, Fullerton broke through in the 52nd minute thanks to a much-needed goal by Natalie Ramos, who took the assist from Edie Pfefferkorn. Ramos and Pfefferkorn led the way for FC combining for 8 shots on goal that put consistent pressure on the Seahawks' defense.
Hornet goalie Kimmy Sperling kept LA Harbor off the board for her first shutout of the season. Sperling recorded four saves in a flawless 90-minute effort.
