WOMEN'S SOCCER: ALL-OEC & PLAYOFF BERTH
The FC women's soccer team has had quite a successful season thus far making the playoffs for the first time since 2004, and four players were recently selected to the All-Orange Empire Conference team.
The FC women's soccer team has had quite a successful season thus far making the playoffs for the first time since 2004, and four players were recently selected to the All-Orange Empire Conference team.
Two sophomore Hornets were 1st team All-OEC selections in Brooke Morris and Tatsiana Loscutoff. Armed with a powerful leg, Morris tied for 4th in the conference with 8 goals, and she was 2nd in assists with 7 on the year. Loscutoff, known as fierce defender, had 2 goals and an assist.
Earning 2nd team honors were freshmen Brianna Remedios and Ciana Bellinger. Difficult to defend, Remedios ended the regular season tying for 4th in goals scored and had 2 assists. Bellinger's solid defensive skills were a factor in helping keep the Hornets to a successful season. She also scored 1 goal.
