WOMEN'S GOLF: JEON QUALIFIES FOR STATE

Fullerton's Eunsoo Jeon placed fourth overall at the Southern California Regionals that were held on Sunday and Monday at Alisal Guest Ranch in Solvang.

Jeon, the OEC Player of the Year, shot 156 (75, 81) during the two-day competition in a field of 56 golfers. Her strong finish qualifies her for the CCCAA women's golf state championship tournament.

Three members of the Orange Empire Conference qualified as individuals for the state championship in Irvine Valley College's Katie Stribling at 154 (78-76), Fullerton's Jeon, and Mt. San Antonio's Mackenzie Kelly at 164 (80-84).

In team-play, the Orange Empire Conference champion Saddleback College will be the only team from the conference that will move on to the CCCAA women's golf state championship tournament.

Up Next: Four teams and six individual qualifiers from Northern California will match up with the teams and individuals from the South at the CCCAA State Championship on Sunday and Monday, November 11-12, on the Morro Bay Golf Course.
