WOMEN'S GOLF: A STATE-BOUND TEAM

After placing first at the Orange Empire Conference Tournament last week, the Hornets had a nice 2nd place outing at the Southern California Championships held at Alisal River in Solvang this past Sunday and Monday.

The top two teams and top 12 individuals advanced to the State Championships on Nov. 17-18 at Tracy GC in Modesto. Three individual golfers will represent Fullerton in Nea Bennett (155 - 5th overall), Kacy Kiachi (160 - 10th - tie), and Shana Siaki (160 - 10th - tie). FC's Tiffany Kohyama (164 - 13th) was chosen as a second Alternate.

As a team, the Hornets will be compete in the State Championships for the first time in school history. There will be four teams competing November 18-19 at the Tracey Golf Course in Modesto. Representing Southern California will be #1 Santa Barbara City College and #2 Fullerton College. The two Northern California teams have yet to be determined.
