Bio

Coach Ramirez is currently in his fourth season serving as the Assistant Softball Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Fullerton College. He collaborates with the coaching staff to support the program's ongoing success.

Prior to his tenure at Fullerton College, he spent three years (2019–2022) as an Assistant Coach, Recruiting Coordinator, and Outfield Coach at Orange Coast College.

He previously volunteered as an Assistant Softball Coach at Santa Ana College for three years (2016–2019), where he served as the first base coach, worked with outfielders, and contributed to recruiting efforts. During his time there, the team qualified for the state playoffs in 2018 and 2019.

With 13 years of high school coaching experience, Ramirez coached at Santa Ana High School for four years (2002–2011). As an Assistant Coach, Bloomington High School qualified for the playoffs in seven of nine seasons, reaching the second round of the CIF playoffs in 2006, with an overall record of 135–97.

A graduate of Bloomington High School (Class of 1995), Ramirez earned All-Sunkist League Honorable Mention recognition as a starting pitcher.

He began his college playing career at San Bernardino Valley College in 1995, transferring to Chaffey College in Spring 1997. In 1999, he played at Cal State Dominguez Hills, where he pitched and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education in 2002. He later completed a Master of Science in Physical Education at Azusa Pacific University in 2006.

Ramirez resides in Orange County with his wife, two daughters, and their dog, Phoenix.
