The Hornet men had some good all-around performances at Santa Ana College Friday scoring 66 team points to take 3rd in the Orange Empire Conference Championships.
Mauro Rosales won the Orange Empire Conference title in the 3000m Steeple Chase, and Ian Rusk took 2nd in the 10,000m.
The Hornets went to Glendale College for the Vaquero Invite looking to improve their marks with only two weeks to go to the Orange Empire Conference Preliminaries.
In a field of over 30 sprinters at the El Camino Invitational last Friday, Xavion Steele continued his rise for the season, taking 3rd place in both the 200 and 400m races. Steele ran 22.77 and 49.68 seconds respectively.
The FC men’s track team is starting to come around just in time with the conference prelims are 30 days away after posting solid numbers at the Orange Coast College Invite last Friday.
At the Night Distance Carnival at Occidental College, Ian Rusk of Fullerton took 8th place out of a field of 40 athletes in the 5000m run.
The Fullerton College Athletic Department honored Olympic athletes Rick Sloan and Doug Nordquist for the inaugural Track & Field Wall of Fame.
