It was a good conference win for the Hornets, who are battling for position in the upcoming Orange Empire Conference Tournament with a 4-4 record (3rd place).
In doubles-play, FC flew through the competition with wins by Sebastian Koster/Felix Jayamaha (8-2), David Gutierrez/Michael Lumang (8-3), and Matthew Doria/Benjamin Koker (8-5).
The Hornets kept their strong play going into singles sweeping through the Bobcats with six consecutive wins. Victories were had by Sebastian Koster (6-1, 6-1), David Gutierrez (4-6, 6-2, 10-4 ), Michael Lumang (6-1, 6-0), Felix Jayamaha (4-6, 6-4, 11-9), Matthew Doria (6-2, 6-0), and Ubaldo Gomez (6-1, 7-5).
Up Next: The Hornets (9-7 overall, 4-4 OEC) will play in the Orange Empire Conference Tournament April 3-4 at Orange Coast College.
