Both the FC men's and women's Swimming & Diving teams placed fifth at the Orange Empire Conference Championship swimming meet this past weekend.
OEC CHAMPIONSHIPS: Both the FC men's and women's Swimming & Diving teams placed fifth at the Orange Empire Conference Championship swimming meet this past weekend.
The FC women's team accumulated 316 points and the men 293 points.
All swimmers accomplished their best times throughout the 3-day competition.
A team from Orange Empire Conference usually wins one of the State Championship or both titles each year.

Okran Omori, 8th, 500 freestyle; 4th, 50 Butterfly; 5th, 100 Butterfly
Becky Goss, 6th, 200 freestyle; 10th, 100 freestyle; 10th, 50 freestyle
Brianna Burrows, 6th, 50 breaststroke; 6th, 100 breaststroke; 11th, 100 I.M.

Kazuhiro Omori, 8th, 50 freestyle; 10th, 100 breaststroke;
Kevin Ly, 7th, 200 breaststroke, Joe Babbitt, 7th, 400 I.M.
Up Next: Breanna Burrows and Okran Omori have both qualified for the CCCAA State Championship Swimming Meet to be held at East L.A. Valley Natatorium on April 25,26,27. Breanna qualified in the 50 and 100 breaststroke and Okran qualified in the 50 and 100 butterfly. They are both in the top 16 of the statewide rankings. They join Justin Choi who qualified the previous weekend in the 3m diving competition.
