The FC men's soccer team came up just short on the road Friday afternoon falling 1-0 in a non-conference matchup against Oxnard College.
It was a tightly contested match from start to finish, but the Condors broke through for the lone goal of the game in the second half. Despite several pushes forward, the Hornets were unable to find the equalizer against a tough Oxnard backline.
The Hornets showed grit and discipline on defense keeping the Condors off the scoreboard for most of the day, but the untimely strike ultimately stood as the difference-maker. Oxnard (2-0-1) protected its home turf and extended its unbeaten start to the season.
