After having the best season in the program's history, the FC men's staff was recognized Thursday night as the 2018 CCCSCA Coaching Staff of the Year.

It was a very exciting season with the Hornets winning the Orange Empire Conference title while breaking a few school records a long the way. Fullerton ended the regular season with an overall record of 17-2-3 with a conference record of 11-1-2. The 17-win mark shatters the program record for most wins in a season. The previous record was 11 wins in 1992. Fullerton also broke the record for most shutouts in a season with 12.

It has only been three seasons since Head Coach Greg Aviles took over the program and turned it into one of the best in the state. The coaching staff of Aviles, Kenny Castellanos, Miguel Batista, and Ryan Gonzalez work very hard all year long taking great pride in their student-athletes' success in the classroom and on the field.

"The entire Hornet coaching staff truly appreciates this award and would like to thank the California Community College Soccer Coaches Association for this great honor. I truly feel blessed to work with such a great staff at Fullerton College and would like to thank them for all of their support", Coach Greg Aviles.
