Assistant coach Glen Worley joins the Hornet coaching staff in 2017 after a few successful coaching tenures. He led the Junipero Serra High School in San Diego to their first Eastern League Championship in eight years as head coach, also making postseason appearances all three years he coached the team who also ranked first in California in 2011. He also coached the Compton Magic, a non-profit 501c team until 2016 before taking an assistant coaching job with Fullerton College.

As a player, Worley was ranked top 30 in the entire nation, named Mr. Basketball State of Iowa, Gatorade Player of the Year and USA Today Player of the year all while attending Iowa West High School where he holds the record for being the school’s all-time leading scorer and rebounder.

In college, at the University of Iowa, Worley and his team won the 2001 Big Ten Tournament and advanced to the postseason four years straight. He was one of four freshman invited to the USA Basketball Tryouts in 2001 and is a member of the 1000 point scorer club for the team.

Worley grew up with basketball and hopes he can change as many lives as possible while on earth, and that continues with coaching for the Hornets.
