MEN'S BASKETBALL: #8 PRESEASON RANKING

The FC men's basketball team is ranked 8th in the California Community Colleges Men's Basketball Coaches Association preseason poll.

Last season's state runner-up Hornets have been putting the work in this offseason. Under third-year head coach Perry Webster, the team is hungry for another Orange Empire Conference championship and another shot at the state title.

With only three returners left from the 2016-17 squad, the Hornets will have some new faces on the court. 

The Hornets will open the season up at #1 San Diego City College's Tournament, where Fullerton won it last season. The Knights, however, went on to win the state title over FC on a last second layup. The San Diego City Tournament runs from November 3-5.

Below are the state and regional preseason rankings. The California community college season begins November 1 and concludes with the state championship tournament at Los Positas College, March 9-11.
