MEN'S BASKETBALL: MCBRIDE & RICHARDSON MOVING ON
Hornet sophomores Blake McBride and Julian Richardson are moving on to play at the next level. McBride has chosen Cal State San Bernardino, while Richardson chose Cal State Northridge.
Hornet sophomores Blake McBride and Julian Richardson are moving on to play at the next level. McBride has chosen Cal State San Bernardino, while Richardson chose Cal State Northridge.
Both players were instrumental in the team's run to the Southern California Regional Semi-Finals in head coach Perry Webster's first season with the Hornets.
Blake was the Hornet leader from behind the three-point arc hitting 66 of 144 shots (43.8%). He averaged 8.3 points a game (249 total points) to go along with 5.1 rebounds a game (153 total) and totaled 70 assists.
Julian led Fullerton College in scoring putting up 14.7 points per game (442 total points). He also brought down 4.1 rebounds a game (123 total) and had 73 assists.
"Blake and Julian will always be special to me. They were two of our first commits here and have represented our basketball program to the best of their abilities. Not only are they talented players, but they are also good students with great character. I will never forget their commitment to the program and to their teammates.
