In an Orange Empire Conference match-up, the Fullerton College men's basketball team hosted Riverside City College Wednesday night and fell hard to the Tigers 59-49.

The loss sticks Fullerton with an overall record of 5-13 and a conference record of 1-2. The Tiger's win lands them at 7-13 overall and 1-2 in conference.
FC opened the first half with a 17-6 lead, but RCC came back with 4 minutes left in the half tying the game at 20 a piece. The Tigers held the edge at the half time buzzer 28-26.
The second half belonged to RCC as they went on an 11-0 run widening their lead 39-26 at the 16:57 mark.
Out-rebounded 26-10, the Hornets did not have enough to recover as the Riverside held on to the lead and the Orange Empire Conference win.
Up Next: The Hornets (5-13, 1-2) have a bye this Friday, but will resume conference-play next Wednesday, January 22nd at Irvine Valley College (17-1, 2-0). Tip off is at 5:30 pm.
