Ken Lutz is in his 9th season with the Hornets, he has coached tight ends, running backs, offensive line, and is now working with the linebackers.

He came to Fullerton after spending 19 years at Brea Olinda High School as a teacher and coach. Lutz (pronounced "Loots") spent 10 years as the offensive coordinator after serving the first 9 years of his tenure at Brea as defensive backs coach and assisting the defensive coordinator.

Prior to joining Brea Olinda, Lutz had coaching stops at Sunny Hills (where he coached FC head coach Tim Byrnes), La Habra, La Canada, and Don Antonio Lugo High Schools.

A graduate of nearby Sunny Hills High School, Lutz also attended and played at Fullerton College in 1980-81 before transferring to Cal State Fullerton where he earned his bachelor's degree and teaching credential in Physical Education. He would later go on to earn his master's degree from National University.

Ken and his wife Debbie are the proud parents of Matt and Katie, who both attended nearby El Dorado High school.
