After playing at FC, Johnson went on to play for UCLA and the University of Miami where he put up strong numbers. In 17 games with the Bruins, he led the team with 44 tackles and 5.5 sacks. Caleb was second with 7 tackles for loss in seven games. In 2021, the Bruins finished 8-4 overall and Johnson had 45 tackles, with a pick, and 3 breakups.
For the Hornets in 2017, Johnson had 41 tackles, 5.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery in 13 games played.
At the University of Miami's Pro Day on March 27th, Johnson ran a 4.40 as his fastest of two times, and had 25 bench-press reps.
Johnson (6-0 230 pounds), from Murrieta, California, earned his UCLA degree in African-American Studies and is working on a master's in sports administration.
