Scott Giles will now serve as the full time Athletic Director for Fullerton College Athletics.
In the past, the AD position was combined with that of the Dean of P.E. among other duties. A first in FC Athletics, the new role for Scott will be to work as Athletic Director as a full time management position.
Scott Giles began teaching and coaching at Fullerton College in 2002 as the head coach of the women's tennis team where he helped produce multiple state players as well as two state championships (2013-2014). In 2009, he guided his team to the state playoffs and was selected by the Fullerton College Athletic Department as the "Coach of the Year". Scott became the head coach of the Fullerton men's soccer program from 2003 to 2007 where he led his team to a state final four appearance. He was also the Orange Empire Conference soccer rep for five years.
As an instructor at Fullerton College, Scott taught a wide variety of Physical Education classes and has served on various campus committees. He served on faculty senate and curriculum. Scott became the Fall Assistant Athletic Director at Fullerton in 2008, where he is currently relied upon for his leadership skills.
A recipient of the NCAA post graduate scholarship, Scott moved on to become a graduate assistant for the BYU football program from 1993 to 1994 working under head coach LaVell Edwards and offensive coordinator Norm Chow.
