FOOTBALL: SOCAL SHOWDOWN

The #1 Hornets remained unbeaten (11-0) on Saturday ending College of the Canyon's season 56-17 in the National Bowl.

The win advances Fullerton to the SoCal Championship game this Saturday, November 30th at Yorba Linda High's Shapell Stadium against #2 Riverside City College.  Kickoff is at 1:00 pm.

FC put the first six points on the board on a nice 16-yard run by RB David Wesley.  On Canyon's first possesion, they easily marched down the field inside the Hornet twenty yard line.  Fullerton quickly put a stop to the Cougar drive when DB Alex Bernstein picked off a pass at the one yard line and advanced it to the fourteen.  The Hornets took the ball down the field and scored again on a 1-yard run by RB Nick Norman.  From, there Fullerton took full control of the ball game holding COC to ten points until the final minutes of the game.
