PONE PUNCHES HIS TICKET TO UTAH TECH

Fullerton College baseball standout Nate Pone has officially taken the next step in his baseball journey signing with Utah Tech University after emerging as one of the top catchers in the Orange Empire Conference.

A product of Villa Park High School, Pone put together a stellar freshman campaign for the Hornets becoming a steady force behind the plate and in the batter's box. Appearing in 43 games in 2025, Pone hit .349, scored 54 runs, drove in 25 RBI, launched 2 home runs, and swiped 22 bases.

Early returns this season suggest Pone hasn't slowed down one bit. Through the first four games, the leadoff batter been tearing the cover off the ball batting .389 with 2 home runs, 6 RBI, 4 runs, and 2 stolen bases.

Now headed to Utah Tech, the Trailblazers are getting a battle-tested catcher with a high baseball IQ, leadership qualities, and a relentless work ethic.
