The Hornets took on Santa Barbara City College at home on Thursday afternoon and dropped one against the Vaqueros 3-1.
The Hornets went up 1-0 in the first when John Zanze ripped a shot up the middle scoring Thomas Delgadillo from third.
In the top of the second, the Vaqueros answered back to tie the game up at 1-1 on a hit up the middle by Andrew Schatz scoring Zack Stockton.
In the seventh, SBCC took a 2-1 lead on a hit by Tyler Rosen that got through the right side bringing Matt Lautz in from second base.
The Vaqs struck again in the eighth to go up 3-1 Andrew Schatz hit a single scoring Wesley Ghan-Gibs who scored from second.
Jordan Wisner (2-1) got the start and the loss for Fullerton throwing 7 solid innings with 2 K's, 3 walks and 2 earned runs against.
Up Next: The Hornets (10-6 overall) will begin Orange Empire Conference play on Tuesday, March 7th at home against Irvine Valley College. The first pitch goes out at 2:00 pm.
