District rivals and Orange Empire Conference powerhouses, Fullerton and Cypress will be going at it this Friday in a best-of-three Super Regional series at Cypress College.

District rivals and Orange Empire Conference powerhouses, Fullerton and Cypress will be going at it this Friday in a best-of-three Super Regional series at Cypress College.
During the regular season, FC took the season series two games to one losing the first game 10-5, and then won the next two 11-4 and 8-3.
Last weekend, the Hornets knocked off the #2 team in the south in Glendale College in two games. FC edged out the Vaqueros in game one 4-3 in 13 innings and took game two in another nail-bitter 3-2.
In 39 games this season, the #17 Hornets (18-21 overall, 11-10 conference) have a team batting average of .327, scored 313 runs, 288 RBI, and hit 29 home runs. On the bump, FC has a team ERA of 3.82, 218 K's, and 171 walks.

The #4 Chargers finished the regular season with a second place finish (tied with Golden West) with a 12-9 record. They were five games back from first place finisher Saddleback College, who was eliminated in the first round of the Regionals (2-1) last weekend by #18 Riverside City College (4th place OEC finish).
In the first round of the SoCal Regionals, Cypress swept through #13 El Camino College in two games 11-4 and 4-3.
The Chargers (26-12 overall) have played in 38 games hitting .308 as a team, with 279 runs, 239 RBI, and hit 19 home runs. On the mound, Cypress has a team ERA of 3.59, 165 strikeouts, and 165 walks.
