BASEBALL: MORE ON THE MOVE

Hornet baseballers Ismael Sanchez and Christiannel Cosme have both accepted offers from Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas.

A sophomore infielder, Sanchez played in 26 games for the Hornets and batted .279. He totaled 13 runs, 10 RBI, 5 home runs, and 3 stolen bases this past season.

A sophomore right-hand pitcher, Cosme made 12 appearances for Fullerton College this past season going a total of 10 innings with 6 K's, and a 3.38 ERA.

In other news, the FC coaching staff has brought in former Hornet player Mike Karpel (1991-92) as an assistant coach. Karpel, the former head baseball coach and athletic director at Barstow College, will work as the pitching coach. 

"Mike's a great addition to our baseball program. He's got a keen eye for the game, and we're excited to see how he develops our arms as we get ready for another successful season", Head Coach Nick Fuscardo.
