WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY: THE PALOMAR INVITE

The Hornets opened the season attending the Palomar Invitational at Guajome Park in Oceanside last Friday.

The ladies finished 7th out of 11 full teams with 193 points.

The Hornets are a young team with the exception of sophomore leader Belen Gonzalez who posted a 21:29 time.Belen started off her year with a top 30 finish out of a total of 98 runners.

Cassidy Nyenhuis came in 2nd place for the Lady Hornets with a time of 22:19 and Kaitlyn Holt followed behind her with a 24:39 effort.

Yesenia Torres was the 4th lady Hornet to cross the line at 26:29. Amber Hernandez rounded out the top five runners with a time of 28:18. Daniela Hernandez 30:04 and Samantha Beall 30:38 finished in 6th and 7th respectively for the Hornet team.

Up Next: The Hornets will run this Friday, September 16th in the SoCal Preview at Irvine Park 11:00 am.
