Rapp has guided the Hornets to the postseason 14 times. From 2006 and on, Rapp's Hornets posted a 128-62 (.674) overall record with Top 10 state finishes in six out of eight seasons.

Rapp's Hornet teams posted a 2006 Orange Empire Conference Championship, a 2007 3rd place finish in state, and a 2008 5th place finishes state. With an Orange Empire Conference Record of 11-3 in 2010, Rapp transferred 5 student-athletes to play at the 4-year level: Reilly Stevens (University of Alaska, Fairmont), Jade Esquivel (Henderson State), Kristin Neary (Cal State East Bay), Morgan Hirzel (Cal State East Bay), and Chelsea Brahm (Embry Riddle). In 2006 and 2008, Rapp was named the Orange Empire Coach of the Year.

Prior to Fullerton College, Rapp was the Head Coach at Santa Margarita, where he created a powerhouse guiding the boys and girls volleyball teams to six CIF Titles, three state title appearances and 1 State Championship. Between the two programs, Rapp had a winning percentage of .801

Most impressive are his many athletes that continued stellar careers at the 4-year universities.

Rapp continues to be involved with Men's volleyball as he was the 2008 Head of Delegations for the Men's National Team at the FIVB World League Championships Belgrade, Serbia. In the spring of 2012 Rapp won a Division 1 National Championship as an assistant coach with the UC Irvine men's volleyball team when the #1 seed Anteaters knocked off the #2 seed USC Trojans 3-0 (25-22, 34-32, 26-24)

His volleyball playing career started at Edison High School, where he was a two-time All-Sunset League setter, a 1986 All-CIF selection, and a CIF finalist.

Playing two years at Golden West College, earning All-State honors twice as a setter. Rapp played the 1989 season at San Diego State, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Health Science.

Rapp received his master's in Education from Azusa Pacific University and is a full-time professor in the PE division at FC. Rapp's curriculum includes courses in Outrigger Canoeing, Sport Psychology, Lifeguard Training, and Techniques/Principles of Coaching.

Eddie and his wife Sara, an early childhood special education teacher, reside in Costa Mesa and are blessed with their two boy's Jesse Ramone and Eli James.
