James Anderson has been a coach at Esperanza High School for the Men's and Women's Varsity and Junior Varsity programs the last five years.
Coach Anderson played as an Aztec for four years and was the setter on the 2007 team that won an undefeated Sunset League title, a CIF Division 1 Championship, and was voted the State Team of the Year. Anderson was also named the "Player of the Year" at the conclusion of record-setting season.
After graduation, he went on to play volleyball for the Lancers at Cal-Baptist University in Riverside. There he met his wife Jessica, who played for the Lancer's women's team. They have been happily married for four years, living in Ladera Ranch, and now have a one-year-old son, Parker.
Coach Anderson graduated from Cal-Baptist with a degree in Kinesiology in 2013, and is currently involved in the credentialing program at National University and on the road in getting his Master's Degree in Education. He is excited to start this new journey with the Hornets and bring this Men's Volleyball program to new heights.
