Coach Felton is a graduate of Cal State Fullerton where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He also earned a master's degree from Azusa Pacific University.

Felton spent the last two seasons at Riverside City College where he coached the offensive line and worked as an academic advisor.

Prior to RCC, Felton was at North Dakota State University (NDSU) where he was assistant head coach and offensive coordinator. During his time with the Bison (2009-13), the program set or tied ten offensive records and finished as high as seventh nationally in passing yards and tenth nationally in rushing yards. Additionally, the program set or tied six special teams' records. NDSU also received a berth to the Graphic Edge Bowl.

Felton also coached at Whittier College (2005-09) where he was the assistant head coach and offensive coordinator. He also spent time at Citrus College (2001-04) where he was the defensive coordinator. During that time, he helped guide the Owls to a conference championship and played in the South County Bowl.

Felton coached defense in the high school ranks at Covina High (1999-2001), Damien High (1998) in La Verne, Ayala High (1995-97) in Chino, and at his alma mater, Glen A. Wilson HS (1992-94) in Hacienda Heights.

Felton is the father of three children: daughters Bethanne and Cadi and son Andre. In his spare time Felton enjoys golfing, water sports, and spending time with his children.
